Quality Care

Regulations stipulate the ratio of staff to children

according to age specific guidelines.

Every child grows and develops at a different rate and

Teachers and Room Leaders always take this into

account. Staff plan a developmentally appropriate

programs which meets the needs of all children in the

group. The staff are alert to the all children’s

backgrounds, interests and needs in planning and

evaluating strategies for learning.

Assessment

Comprehensive developmental

assessments occur every six months

for all children who attend the Centre.

The assessments enable the staff to

communicate effectively with parents

in either written or verbal form and to

plan what is appropriate for each child

at every stage of their development.

Parents are encouraged to discuss

their child's progress at any time.

Enrichment Programs

Our Enrichment Program provides an

opportunity for children to participate

in many activities such as music,

dance, singing and gymnastics.

Languages other than English are

taught in our Pre School through oral

and aural experiences and we also

arrange visiting experts to come and

inform or entertain our children at

various times during the year.
